| LATEST NEWS: TESTING: OEKC Testing at Daytona MK Tuesday 29th July, 11am - 6pm. BILANDS FOR HIRE: Saxon Motorsport have race prepared Bilands for hire Cost £600 per kart (suitable for 2-4 drivers). This will now mean that it's a straight fight out on track. We believe that this will enhance the racing with both classes having an equal chance of winning. Tyres If you need any Kartline tyres for the next round or practise then contact Jeff Johnson on 01329-289783 (£54.90+ VAT) Rule Amendment: Rotax Fuel Pump location - In addition to the using the fuel pump mounting bracket, teams may now alternatively mount the fuel pump on the drivers seat. Weight v Lap Time: We carried out a test using Dan Parker as our driver & the Rotax of Box Tech to see the time penalty that weight has racing round Whilton Mill. The Test was conducted on Tuesday 3rd April, Temp 8c, cloudy, strong wind & high humidity. We ran the kart at 170kg & 177kg and found that the time penalty of running heavier was approx 0.02 secs per kilo. Transponders All teams wiil need to provide their own Transponder in 2007. These can be purchased from Saxon Motorsport 01432 350157 Fuel: At Daytona MK races fuel IS supplied within the £185 race entry. At Whilton Mill fuel is NOT suppled (race entry £150) Logo A new OEKC logo has been designed by Neil Mander #46 FDM Racing. We'll be publishing it soon & I'm sure you'll all like what you see. Many teams are actively involved in promoting & improving our championship. So spread the word when you get chance. They are as follows: Biland, CVT, Leopard, Senior Max, TKM 4/ & ProMax - Vega W2 ThunderKart - Continantal Aqua or Bridgestone YDK ProExtreme, ProKart & WRK - Bridgestone YDK Any kart class not listed above can run whatever wet tyre they like but cannot compete for 'Overall' handicapped honours Number Plates: For weight categories 170Kg BLUE 177Kg RED 180Kg BLACK Check out the new circuit layout for Whilton Mill.   Kartline Tyres Kartline will again be the Championship’s control tyre having proven their suitability after being raced throughout the 2005 & 2006 seasons. Adrian Midgley Winter Cup The OEKC have decided to run the Winter Cup in memory of Adrian. To give Adrian a real send off we are looking to get as many teams who have raced against him to participate Box Tech Racing will be racing as # 51 Le Maverick with David Midgley in the driver lineup So please help make this a fitting tribute to Adrian Round 1 - 03/12/06 Round 2 - 04/02/07 TaG (Touch & Go) karts have always been welcomed into the series, they are covered by our 'Open Class' & we look forward to seeing more of these types of engines joining the Championship.
